L'Entourloop(FR)

A beatmaker/DJ duo, L’Entourloop boasts an original and unifying sound that blends two closely related genres: hip hop and reggae.

Born in Saint-Étienne, France, in 2013, L’Entourloop has established itself as one of the most original and unifying projects on the European independent music scene. Led by the iconic Sir Johnny and King James, two senior beatmakers with a passion for turntablism and vinyl, the collective has forged an instantly recognisable signature sound: “Hip-Hop Inna Yardie Style”, at the crossroads of reggae, hip-hop and sound system culture.

From their early mixtapes to the albums Chickens In Your Town (2015), Le Savoir Faire (2017) and La Clarté dans la Confusion (2022, featuring more than thirty international artists), L’Entourloop has built a remarkable network of collaborations with major names from the global music scene, including Skarra Mucci, Biga*Ranx, Ken Boothe, Flavia Coelho and Chali 2Na. The collective has now accumulated several hundred million streams worldwide and multiple Gold Singles in France and internationally.

On stage, L’Entourloop creates immersive live shows combining video, scenography and a distinctive vintage aesthetic, taking them from major festivals to iconic venues including the Olympia and Adidas Arena, as well as the Zénith de Saint-Étienne. With more than 1,000 shows performed around the world, the collective has built a strong reputation as a live act both in France and internationally.

L’Entourloop is currently preparing its fourth studio album, scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2027. Featuring numerous collaborations and several singles to be unveiled over the coming months, the new project will open a new chapter in the collective’s journey. A new tour will follow the album’s release, introducing a brand-new live show created around the new project.
