With his loop-station, guitar, voice, vocal beat-box and other instruments, the One-Man-Band's positive energy soon has the crowd jumping up and down.
We’d like to introduce you to Rocky Leon, a Californian one-man-band, based in Vienna. He uses a loopstation, guitar, voice, vocal beat-box and other instruments to create a high energy performance that captivates and delights audiences of all ages. While his genre most closely resembles a mix of rock, reggae, hip-hop and ska, his music speaks to people with a wide variety of tastes.
Rocky is a born entertainer who effortlessly commands the attention of any audience. His infectious energy, authentic enthusiasm and natural charisma led to him being booked to play festivals and concerts all over the world as his music caught people's attention, with no need for professional marketing or management for over 10 years.
Since 2012 he’s played in over 100 cities in over a dozen countries and at festivals such as Uprising Reggae Festival in Slovakia, Mighty Sounds, Trutnov and Majales festivals in Czechia, Zahid, Faine Misto and Kharkiv Reggae Festival in Ukraine, numerous festivals in Austria such as Free Tree, Wurm, Peal, Rock the Mountain and many others. He has released 4 studio albums, has over 15k subscribers on Youtube, 1000 monthly listeners on Spotify, has appeared on television in multiple countries, has been flown out to Panama to play a show, performed at a TedX conference in Vienna, the christmas party of Austria’s biggest radio station Ö3, won the Wiener Stadtfest award for best live music performance and once turned down an offer to play a warm up set for the Prodigy in Prague. The fool. During the corona years, live shows were hard to organize, but being the insufferable crowd pleaser that he is, he kept himself and his fellow Vienicians entertained by performing in the Vienna subway stations several times a week. Singing in a mask. The madman. He feels equally at home playing for huge festival crowds and in intimate club and bar settings.
