From Jazz to Techno: TUN - Torino Unlimited Noise
 

TUN is the pioneer of techno-jazz in Italy.
 

This band fuses the hypnotic rhythms and sounds of techno music with jazz improvisation,
giving rise to a unique and innovative sound.
 

Composed of Gianni Denitto (sax, electronics), Fabio Giachino (synth), and Mattia Barbieri (drums, drum pads), TUN offers concerts played entirely live, with no pre-recorded backing tracks, where improvisation rules supreme. Each show can last up to two hours,
offering a unique and unrepeatable experience.

 

Collaborations and Remixes

 

TUN regularly collaborates with the Australian singer Dub FX, with whom they play live and recorded the singles "All Combined" and "Don't Fall." With the Jazz-O-Tech label, a symbol of the European Techno-Jazz movement, they have produced remixes with techno scene gurus like Sunil Sharpe, Norbak, and Tensal. In addition to these collaborations, the members of TUN boast experience with musicians of the calibre of Richard Galliano, Adrian Sherwood, Dave Liebman,
Fabrizio Bosso, Zion Train, Randy Brecker, and Bickram Ghosh,
enriching their sound with diverse influences and musical approaches.

 

Live Performances

 

TUN has played at prestigious festivals and clubs in Italy and abroad, including Eurovision Village 2022, JazzAhead! Bremen, Edinburgh Jazz Festival, Gate of Tehran, Firenze Jazz Festival, and the Torino Film Festival, with a tribute to Giorgio Moroder. Their tours have also taken them to the UK, Germany, and Albania, where they played at iconic venues like the
Band on the Wall in Manchester, the Tunel Club in Tirana, and the Treibsand in Lübeck.

and the unpredictability of jazz.
